We are currently seeking a Consultant to join our team in Princeton, New Jersey. As part of our SAP implementation delivery team, the Consultant will support SAP software enhancements. In addition to technical expertise, the ability to excel in a global team environment, effectively communicate and achieve results is critical in this role.

Consultant will:

  • Participate in SAP project tasks and provide subject matter knowledge and best practice recommendations
  • Provide functional consulting knowledge to our life, insurance and reinsurance clients
  • Perform analysis of business requirements and provide recommendations for technical strategies, processes and solutions
  • Coordinate with business process owners, functional and technical staff to design, customize and implement FS-RI / LRM (Life Reinsurance Module) solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Develop plan for content and code reusability with the intended goal of improving operational efficiency during implementation
  • Participate and facilitate (when appropriate) complex issue resolution that arise during implementation
  • Confirm performance quality through testing and coordinate with functional team to resolve defects and ensure that test documentation and processes are followed
  • Achieve key business outcomes
  • Provide training to client on FS-RI / LRM (Life Reinsurance Module) usage


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of SAP consulting experience with hands on exposure to working in project teams and ERP implementations
  • Expertise in one of the following SAP modules: FS-CD, FI-CO (GL), FS-RI
  • Participation in two major system implementations / or upgrades including one full life cycle
  • Experience in process design, modeling and optimization
  • Operational knowledge and project experience in package based implementation methodologies like ASAP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with clients and functional resources
  • Accounting education/experience preferred
  • Ability to manage complex initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills
  • Proven track record of achievement
  • Able to travel up to 90% to client locations
  • Able to work in UK and Canada for extended period of time
  • Ability to be creative, flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent education


Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Strong SAP for Insurance product line knowledge
  • Substantive (life) insurance / reinsurance knowledge including specialized knowledge in accounting, business processes, compliance and reporting requirements
  • Computer Science, Economics, Engineering degree


Physical Demands:

  • This role operates in a professional office environment
  • Project work will require travel which may include domestic or international locations by means of air, train, auto, and/or walking
  • Ability to remain in a sitting position at assigned workstation for extended periods of time
  • Mobility to travel to/from client locations through travel methods which may include air, train, automotive and walking
  • Dexterity to operate a laptop computer, office equipment and cell phone
  • Ability to transport a laptop computer, work material and luggage while commuting to/from client location, transportation methods may include air, train, automotive and walking
