We are currently seeking a Functional Accounting Expert to join our consulting team in Walldorf, Germany. Our Consultants provide SAP application support to our worldwide clients. In addition to technical expertise, the ability to excel in a global team environment, effectively communicate and achieve results is critical in this role.

 

As a Functional Accounting Expert you will:

 

  • Analyze IT related client specifications and align them with governmental requirements to ensure regulatory compliance with a focus in Accounting and IFRS 4 Phase 2
  • Receive further training which will focus on the development of programming skills and product knowledge related to the SAP Insurance Analyzer
  • Utilize the SAP software platform for Financial Services
  • Program with ABAP (00) and Java
  • Analyze requirements and organize in programming sequence
  • Prepare test cases, project documents and reports for clients
  • Perform system testing to ensure performance quality and maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with clients and within Nexontis
  • Work effectively with Nexontis staff located worldwide

Position Requirements: 

 

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a consulting company or in an insurance company specializing in finance, risk and regulatory reporting
  • Several years of project management experience including team lead position as well as strong insurance background 
  • University degree in information technology, business informatics or equivalent
  • Deep functional knowledge in the area of finance, risk and regulatory reporting within the insurance industry including the requirements of Solvency II and IFRS for insurance
  • Deep technical implementation experience for SAP Bank Analyzer or similar
  • Very strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a distinct willingness to learn
  • High level of costumer orientation and service-based attitude used in a self-directed approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and presentation confidence as well as the ability to work in a team environment
  • Fluency in English and German, written and oral
